Who We Are
Founder, Joy Pappas, is a graduate of San Diego State University, where she studied music and performed in numerous solo and ensemble settings. Teaching, directing and performing music throughout San Diego public school districts, churches, public choirs and private performances all created a solid foundation with years of experience in music. The studio was founded as an evolution of community involvement in music and demand for lessons.  The studio is a full time operation with instructors to meet your needs and separate music rooms for private instruction. 

Our Philosophy
We believe that music is more than just one of the arts.  It is an important part of the history and culture of men and women throughout the ages.  Our primary mission is to provide a higher quality of instruction than is normally available at affordable rates.  Our secondary mission is to provide more than just the mechanics of musical instruments and vocal expression. 

We strive to impart an understanding of how learning to sing or play an instrument fits into the overall structure of music, including principles and theory of music.  Because we teach students of all ages and abilities, we work at a pace that is appropriate for each individual student, but we also try to lay the foundation of proper technique and knowledge on which to build increased skills and involvement in music.  To develop performance skills, we provide an environment for the student to participate in studio recitals.  Anyone can teach you how to play the notes - we teach techniques that will enable you to progress as far as your desires and abilities will take you.
